Chic & Cool SL was born of the desire to fuse fashion –clothes, accessories and decorative home pieces– with social awareness. In keeping with the brand’s values, we design our own collections and work with natural materials and small artisans who use traditional methods to offer you limited edition pieces that have that ethnic touch that transports you to other cultures.

To comply with our ethical commitment, we give 2% of all sales from orders placed in this website to NGO’s. We follow all the programmes we participate in closely.

General Terms & Conditions

In order to place orders through this website, you must accept these Terms & Conditions. Ignoring or being unaware of the General Conditions of Sale shall not mean in any case that you are exempt from complying with them.

Registering at Chic & Cool Atelier is free of charge and does not require you to make a purchase. Chic & Cool Atelier’s website is for adult use only. As such, we expressly request that parents or guardians take the necessary precautions to ensure that minors do not access this website, become registered user, or place orders. Chic & Cool Atelier shall not accept registrations from users who are under 14 years of age, and reserves the right to request that your send identification documents if we have doubts as to the veracity of the information provided, and shall deny you access should you fail to provide the requested information. Security

Pursuant to LSSIce regulations, Chic & Cool Atelier must keep all electronic communication traffic data for a 12-month period, which is the amount of time needed to identify the origin when the provision of the service first begun. The obligation to save such information shall in no way affect the confidentiality and secrecy of communication exchanges.

Chic & Cool Atelier receives the IP address you are using when accessing our website because your browser sends it through to us. Your IP address is saved in our Log archives for security reasons, and shall be available to the authorities in accordance with current regulations and, if applicable, to identify the person or persons responsible for certain unlawful actions. The information saved in these logs includes the IP address and the date and time each petition is sent to our Server. In addition to the purpose described above, we also use that information to analyse trends, administer the system and collect data for statistical purposes.

Chic & Cool Atelier has engaged a secure ecommerce service that verifies the validity of the card you intend to use to make payments in our website. The exchange of the information between you and the online store is encrypted through an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) service. Your credit card information is neither saved nor transmitted to our servers and the transaction is carried out through your financial institution’s website to ensure it’s safe from possible non-authorised third parties.

Invoicing

Pursuant to article 17 regulating invoicing obligations, approved by Royal Decree 1.496/2003 of 28th November, you authorise Chic & Cool S.L., with VAT number B66695339 and registered address at C/ Cremat Gran i Xic, 5-7 Local 1 de 08003 Barcelona, to send you invoices and other documents through electronic means.

Pursuant to the aforementioned Royal Decree, all documents sent through email have the same legal validity as printed documents, as long as they are maintained in the format in which they were originally created (electronically).

You agree to the use of PDF documents, which is the type of document format that Chic & Cool Atelier shall use, and you hereby manifest you have the necessary IT means for that purpose. You also agree to the use of email to receive invoices. The address used shall be one one given when you registered, which was a mandatory field.

By accepting these conditions, you agree to receive all communication via electronic means. If you wish to receive paper documentation, you shall have to send a specific written request to Chic & Cool Atelier.

Account & Password

Accepting these General Terms & Conditions means you become responsible for the account and password needed to access Chic & Cool Atelier’s website. These conditions shall apply in addition to the e-commerce terms & conditions.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the user name and password you use to access the contents of www.chicandcoolatelier.com, and are solely responsible for all activity associated with your account, your user name and your password. You must notify us immediately if you know or suspect that your account has been accessed or used without your authorisation or if there has been any other type of account violation. Chic & Cool Atelier shall bear no responsibility for damages arising out of the loss or unauthorised use of your account.

We shall consider that any person who accesses your account using your user name and password, whether it’s a family member, work colleague, supervisor, etc. is doing so with your authorisation and the authority or power of attorney to act on your behalf.

Specific Terms & Conditions

Chic & Cool Atelier shall have the right to cancel or block all account activity, including access to the account at any time.

You undertake to treat all information you receive is confidential and to use it strictly for its intended personal use and to abstain from distributing or reproducing it, in whole or in part, and in any manner known or unknown.

Chic & Cool Atelier may change the price of an item an any time and without notice, and orders shall be accepted subject to a price change if we detect any type of error or typo.

Prices, unless otherwise stated, shall not include shipping & handling, duties or any other type of additional fee, which shall be at your expense.

Notwithstanding the above, Chic & Cool Atelier shall issue all invoices using the current rate, independently of any previously advertised price.

Items ordered shall be delivered within approximately 48 hours. Shipment of orders with multiple items could be delayed depending on product availability. If an order has more than one product or more than one unit of a single product, the following could affect delivery:

– It’s possible that there aren’t enough units of a particular item, especially a home decorative item.

– It’s possible that you may not receive all units of a product in the same shipment as they may be located in different distribution points.

– It’s possible that the delay between receiving the order and processing it might be longer.

The delivery delays are solely for information purposes and at not time shall these timeframes be binding except if specifically indicated in writing. As such, you shall not have the right to request an order cancellation or any other type of indemnification should the delivery of the ordered items be delayed for reasons or circumstance beyond the control of Chic & Cool Atelier.

Delivery

When you place an order at Chic & Cool Atelier you automatically consent to your personal information being shared with the shipping company that Chic & Cool Atelier uses.

Any issue with the delivery – merchandise, packaging, number of parcels or other- must be notified at the time of delivery by making a note of it in the documentation provided by the shipping company. In addition, in order for Chic & Cool Atelier to take action you must contact us via email within 24 hours of receiving the order and provide the details of the anomaly.

Order Cancelation Rights

Pursuant to current retail commerce regulations, you may return any item within 14 days of receiving it. After that time period has elapsed, Chic & Cool Atelier shall consider that the order has been correctly delivered and that you have accepted it. To proceed with a return, you must first send an email to hola@chicandcoolatelier.com or a certified letter to Chic & Cools Atelier’s registered address. The email or letter shall include the following information:

1) Invoice number

2) Your name and last name

3) Product reference number

4) Number of units that shall be returned.

5) Reason for the return.

Should you return items without complying with the above conditions, the parcel shall be returned to you at your expense. You shall have 14 days from the acceptance of the delivery of goods to contact Chic & Cool Atelier via email or certified letter in case of a claim with regards to the invoices.

Any shipping costs associated with sending or returning an order shall be at your expense.

Guarantee

Pursuant to article 120 of Royal Decree 1/2007, of 16th November, which approved the modified text of the General Consumer and User Protection Act and other complementary laws, you shall have 2 years from the delivery of your order to claim for non-compliance. Law 26/1984, of 19th July, regulating the protection of consumers and users shall also apply.

This guarantee shall apply so long as the item is used under normal circumstances, in keeping, for example, with the the instructions set forth in catalogues or manuals. Returns shall not be accepted if the items show evident signs of use. You shall bear all costs associated with returning the merchandise. Should the returned item not be accepted because it has been used, it shall remain in Chic & Cool Atelier’s warehouse where you may pick it up within 30 days from the time the return was attempted.

Should you detect any defects within the 14-day order cancelation period, you may contact Chic & Cool Atelier by sending an email to hola@chicandcoolatelier.com. We will proceed with either an even exchange -if the guarantee so establishes it- or with a reimbursement of the returned items.

Returns:

Pick up

You may request that we pick up your return by emailing us at hola@chicandcoolatelier.com. After verifying all the information provided, we will arrange for a shipping company to pick up the parcel at the address you give us, as long as that address is in the same country where the original order was delivered. Remember that the shipping costs to return your parcel shall be deducted from the reimbursement amount.

Below you will find the steps you must follow to request a pick up:

Once we have picked up the parcel, you will receive an email confirmation with the details of your return.

  1. PREPARE YOUR PARCEL:

Pack the items you wish to return in the original order box or in one that is similar in size. Make sure the merchandise is in its original condition, tags and packaging included, and that you have included the original invoice.

  1. PARCEL PICK UP:

The shipping company will contact you to arrange for a pick up date and time. Make sure you have closed the package properly. The shipping company will send you a shipping label by mail that you must place on the outside of your parcel.

  1. REIMBURSEMENT:

Once we have received the parcel, we will reimburse you within 14 working days using the same method as the one you used to pay for the order. Remember that the cost for returning the package will be deducted from any reimbursement amount. The cost for the return will be the same as the cost for shipment, according to your location.

By mail:

You may arrange for your own return, either by mail or courier service as long as it’s within the established timeframe.

You must inform us of your decision to return the merchandise prior to shipping it back by sending an email to hola@chicandcoolatelier.com. You will receive an email to confirm that you may proceed with the return.

  1. SENDING YOUR PARCEL

You may send your parcel using a method of your choosing, but we recommend that you use a trackable shipping method such as certified mail with return receipt. Otherwise, we cannot assume responsibility in case of loss, theft or damage during transport.

  1. REIMBURSEMENT:

We will reimburse you within 14 working days of receiving the parcel, using the same method as the original order. Remember that you must pay for the shipping costs to return the merchandise.

Exchanges:

You have 15 days from the purchase date to exchange ordered items.

You may exchange any article from your online order for another item of equal or greater value.

You will need to return the original item and place a new order through our website. If you request a return label, remember that the delivery charges shall be deducted from any reimbursement.

You may also exchange any item at our store. Remember that the return period is the same (15 days) and that you must bring the original invoice with you.

Reimbursement:

We will send you a confirmation email once the returned items have reached our return centre. Remember that we cannot proceed with the reimbursement unless the merchandise is in its original condition, inside and outside tags included, and in the original packaging, if applicable.

We will reimburse you within 14 working days of receiving the return, using the same payment method as the original order. Please remember that the time it takes to restore your credit depends on your banking entity and it may take a few more days to appear in your account.

When arranging for a pick-up, remember that the shipping costs to return the merchandise shall be deducted from any reimbursement amount. Reimbursements do not include the cost of shipping the original order.

If the return is due to a mistake on our part or on the part of the shipping company, we will pick up the parcel in the address you give us and all costs arising our of the return shall be at our cost, including the shipping costs of a the correct item if applicable.
